Christine took over the salon in 1999 and renamed it Headliners. Having undertaken many training courses she qualified to become an NVQ assessor enabling the staff to get 'real customer' based skills rather than the simulated experience of the college environment. This enables the trainees to be well established as competent hairdressers with a solid client base and consistentcy for the clients. The salon is going from strength to strength with quality, caring staff and a comfortable environment for your salon experience.
Elaine Elaine has been working at Headliners since 1999 and one of the first staff that the new salon employed. Elaine took her City & Guilds qualification on leaving school (a few years ago) and has subsequently updated the qualification with an NVQ. Elaine works two full days with a strong, regular client base including perms, sets, colours, cuts, blow drys and hair ups.
Aimee Aimee has worked for Headliners since leaving school. She qualified in 2005 and took maternity leave during 2006. She works three days a week juggling hairdressing, further training and childcare. She is very articulate in her work and is an excellent stylist with hair for formal occasions such as proms, weddings and functions.
Alison Alison started at our other salon in Southampton as a Saturday girl and also did on-site training through her school. She came to the Highfield branch to further that training until starting college, to work on her NVQ 2. She is very personable and competant. She will go on to start her NVQ 3 in September. Alison is lovely to work with and is well liked by the customers.
Shirley has lived in Highfield all her life and knows 'everyone'. She qualified 'years ago' and now works part-time doing some of Highfields longer standing residents.
